Sotto tale soglia troviamo appaiati Sinistra e Italia Viva al 2,8%, poi +Europa all’1,8%, Verdi all’1,4% e Partito Comunista all’1%.

IS IT ALLOWED TO SEND THEM ALL TO THE SAME PLACE? AND THEIR EMPLOYERS TOO?

VERGOGNOSO - SCHANDE: UND WIE IST ES AM IMPFSTOFF ZU STERBEN ODER MIT SEINEN VERHEERENDEN FOLGEN LEBEN ZU MUESSEN???

Stagnierende Impfquote in Deutschland: Peitsche statt Zuckerbrot

EUROPHILES have used the calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan to add weight to their burning desire to create an EU army.

Vaccine row: European Union warned about contracts by WallaceSign up for FREE now and never miss the top politics stories again

In a recent meeting, German politician Manfred Weber insisted that “the hour for Europe is only now striking” in international events after America withdrew from the war-torn country last month. Mr Weber, the leader of the European People's Party in the EU Parliament, warned that if the EU withdraws from conflicts across the planet China and Russia “will fill the vacant spaces”.

He added: “Europe generally needs military capabilities.

“Take the cyberwar. In Lithuania or Latvia and beyond, Russia is waging a hybrid war. The Irish health system was recently paralysed.

“The attacks on public infrastructure are getting closer.

“(We need) a European task force with drones and a cyber brigade defending the online infrastructure.”

Mr Weber went on to say that Europeans must “continue to represent our values” which are human rights, freedom rights and women's rights.

And while the general mood in Germany may be to say “goodbye to foreign assignments”, he warned that short-term thinking like this will come back to bite.

He added: “I can only warn against that.

“If we withdraw from conflict, tomorrow we will wake up in a world that is not ours and confronted with problems of a completely different dimension.

‘EU can’t do that!’ Brussels’ army hopes slashed by defence experts as bloc ‘too slow’

EU CHIEFS are pushing for the creation of an EU army but the bloc has demonstrated it would be "too slow" to act as one military force, according to experts.

Afghanistan: Taliban appear to interact with seized US guns

The chaotic Western withdrawal from Afghanistan is likely to be a catalyst for the European Union's attempts to develop its common defence, the EU's top diplomat said on Thursday, saying a rapid reaction force must be part of that. Calls within the EU are growing for the bloc to be able to intervene militarily in a crisis without relying on US troops.

EU defence and foreign ministers are set to discuss the way forward on Thursday and Friday at an informal meeting of EU defence ministers in Slovenia.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said before the Slovenia gathering: "Sometimes there are events that catalyse history, that create a breakthrough, and I think that Afghanistan is one of these cases."

Borrell has called for a European "first entry force" of 5,000 troops to replace the EU's battlegroups that were created in 2007 but have never been used.

"We have to look for something more operational," he said regarding an entry force.

"The need for more, stronger European defence is more evident than ever," he told reporters.

He said he hoped for a plan in October or November.

But defence experts have slammed EU chiefs' hopes for the creation of an EU army, arguing cooperation on a one to one basis between member states should be prioritised.

Dick Zandee, defence expert at the Clingendael Institute, said the Afghanistan crisis is also not a turning point in the American-European relationship.

He said: "It just marks the lack of capacity and anticipation that Europe has. That the US is increasingly letting Europe take care of itself.

"There will be a lot of situations where we will continue to work with America.

"But there will be many more where Europe should be able to do without the Americans. Right now we are still too dependent on American capabilities."

Former NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer agrees.

"What is becoming untenable is that Europe is little without the United States," he said this week on Dutch radio.

According to Mr Zandee, the EU can play a greater role in this type of capacity development.

But he warned that "for an operation such as the evacuation from Kabul, such a large, viscous organisation as the EU is too slow. For that, countries must join forces in opportunity coalitions".

De Hoop Scheffer also argued for coalitions of two to four countries that can intervene quickly militarily if necessary.

He said: "Europe cannot do that at the moment.

"We should not form a European army, but invest considerably more money in our defence."

Macron: When in EU Meeting Talk in French, Not English!

EU meetings must be held in the French language

French premier plans to drop use of the English language from all EU discussions

Emmanuel Macron is sensationally plotting to drop English from all EU meetings and replace it with French once the country takes control of the bloc's rotating presidency next year.

Currently, English is the 'working language' of the EU and is used in high-level meetings between representatives from across the bloc's 27 member states.

But sources suggest French premier Emmanuel Macron, 43, plans to implement French as the main language used by the EU's diplomats.

Macron hopes to implement the new rule once France takes control of the rolling six-month EU presidency in 2022.

The news comes as the French premier was slapped in the face during a trip to the Drome region in south-eastern France today.

The assailant took the French President by the arm, appearing to stop him for a chat, before shouting: 'Down with Macronia' ('A Bas La Macronie') as he delivered the blow.

Bodyguards quickly seized upon the man and bundled him to the ground, as a member of Macron's security detail pulled the president to safety.

The French president is understood to be weighing up the decision to replace English with French in meetings held across the bloc from next year.

Macron is considering plans for all meetings in Brussels to be held in French and there are suggestions he will ignore letters sent by the European Commission if they are penned in English, reports The Express.

Minutes and official documents are also expected to be communicated in French, according to sources familiar with the scheme.

A senior French diplomat told Politico: 'Even if we admit that English is a working language and it is commonly practiced, the basis to express oneself in French remains fully in place in the EU institutions.

'We must enrich it, and make it live again so that the French language truly regains ground, and above that, the taste and pride of multilingualism.'

French is already one of the EU's three 'working languages', alongside English and German, but Macron and his ministers plan to revive the language across the bloc.

Money could be put aside for language lessons for EU diplomats, and French-only debates are also being earmarked.

But the move has been met with criticism from EU insiders, who fear the crippling effect it could have on meetings which are usually conducted in English.

An unnamed diplomat explained to Politico: 'Many national delegates in EU working groups simply don’t understand or speak French.

'It's hoped that France will ultimately follow a pragmatic language approach.'

There are also concerns over the impact such a move could have in frustrating UK-EU relations further.

France will hold the EU's temporary presidency from January to June next year - the first time since 2008.

French ministers Clement Beaune and Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne argued in April that control of the presidency created an 'opportunity to hold high this vital fight for multilingualism'.

Earlier today, Macron faced fresh protests from some French voters with two men being arrested after the French premier was slapped in the face during a meet and greet event in the village of Tain-l'Hermitage.

In video circulating on social media, Macron, dressed in shirt sleeves, could be seen walking towards a crowd of well-wishers who were behind a metal barrier outside the culinary school.

'Mr Macron appeared very relaxed and thought he was getting a good reception from those watching him,' said an eyewitness.

'He was outside a catering school when he stuck his right hand towards a man who promptly grabbed it.

'Then the man slapped the President in the face, before Mr Macron was pulled away by security guards.'

The president's bodyguards seized upon the man and bundled him to the ground, as a member of Macron's security detail pulled the president to safety.

The attack represents a serious security breach and overshadows the start of Macron's 'Tour de France' which he said was designed to 'take the pulse of the nation' ahead of next year's election.

President signs law allowing retaliatory measures against platforms blocking Russian media

Russia may block Facebook, YouTube over 'censorship'

MOSCOW

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday signed into law a bill authorizing restrictive measures against online platforms censoring Russian media.

The law states that if foreign social networks limit access to, or block content by Russian media due to race, nationality, or political affiliation, Russian regulators can retaliate by blocking, slowing down traffic, or fining the respective platforms.

The measures can be applied simultaneously and could affect US tech giants such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

According to the law, the prosecutor general, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be able to assign a foreign site the status of "allowing censorship of Russian media."

The status can be repealed in case of a change to the "discriminative policy."

The US web platforms in recent months have blocked dozens of Russian websites and accounts, accusing them of spreading disinformation.

Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said US social media networks and video hosting websites "unilaterally and arbitrarily conduct political censorship of Russian media accounts."

Google wants to maintain the supremacy of western media, which once dominated the information space, she claimed.

Earlier, she condemned Twitter's move to label accounts affiliated with the Russian state, saying it did not mark any western media outlet as affiliated with the government.
