Mikhail Gorbachev is 90. America also needs its own perestroika

During the recent years, the number of Russian people who believe that the first and last president of the USSR has done more harm than good to the country has slightly decreased. The number of those who positively assess Gorbachev's input has increased by one percent.

A poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Centre among 1,600 Russians revealed that the number of people who believe that Gorbachev brought the country more harm than good has decreased. In 2019, 54 percent of respondents thought so, and in 2021 - 51 percent.

The number of Russians who are confident that the harm and benefit from Gorbachev's activities were approximately equal has not changed in two years. As many as 32 percent of respondents share this point of view. Fifty-one percent of respondents believe that Gorbachev cared primarily about the welfare of the country and the people, but made a number of mistakes that led to shocks (50% of respondents thought so in 2019). The number of Russians who consider Gorbachev a criminal who deliberately destroyed the state has decreased: 26 percent in 2019 vs. 22 percent in 2021.

Eleven percent of respondents said that Gorbachev was a brave man who was not afraid to take responsibility for the reforms the country needed. Two years earlier, ten percent of respondents thought so.

The Russians find glasnost and freedom of speech (9%), perestroika (4%) and the development of international relations (3%) as Gorbachev's achievements. As for the main failures of Gorbachev's policy, the respondents named the collapse of the USSR (36%), actions in the interests of the West (7%), and economic decline (7%).

On March 2, Mikhail Gorbachev celebrates his 90th birthday. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin congratulated him on the anniversary. Putin called Gorbachev an outstanding political figure who changed the course of world history.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel also sent their congratulations to the ex-president of the USSR. The head of the German government thanked Gorbachev for his contribution to uniting Germany and ending the Cold War.

Mikhail Gorbachev and his perestroika

"[The main achievement of the political career] is perestroika. And everything that is related to it. It was cut short, it was not brought to the end ... Freedom, glasnost, freedom to travel abroad, freedom of religion. (...) Finally, weapons. People could take a deep breath of relief. After all, people all over the world, especially in the developed world, in Europe and in America, they have been digging shelters to protect themselves from a nuclear war, which could break out at any moment."

"How much did our perestroika and new thinking save? Hundreds of billions of dollars for the rest of the world! " (from a conversation with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Republic of Germany Horst Koehler, 1991).

"America also needs its own perestroika."

"The collapse of the Soviet Union, its withdrawal from the world political arena immediately changed the state of affairs and the balance of power in the whole world, and many were tempted to fish in troubled waters. Everyone is to blame for the fact that the world could not take advantage of the chances that perestroika, new thinking, the end of the Cold War opened up."

"Here, how did Yeltsin act? He negotiated with me and signed papers, but he was going behind my back. He did some mean things, and I cannot forgive him for that. Even now, he is dead, and I would not like to talk about it, but what a vile person he turned out to be. And I was promoting him. Man he is my mistake. His meanness probably comes from drunkenness. Generally speaking, he was a bad man. Lord, forgive me, and workers, forgive me."

Ukraine finds gold

 Author`s name Dmitry Sudakov

Ukraine finds gold

Ukraine announced the discovery of a gold deposit, the reserves of which are evaluated at at 2.4 tons. However, even two tons of gold will not help Ukraine overcome the pre-default condition of its economy.

The deposit was found in the Rakhov district of the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. The deposit is believed to hold 2.4 tons of gold.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian economy remains in deplorable condition. The country's need in money is enormous. The Ukrainian government is still waiting for as much as $3 billion in new tranches from international creditors. Yet, both the IMF and the World Bank have made it clear to Ukraine that new tranches would be possible only if Ukraine continued conducting reforms and anti-corruption struggle.

Ukraine's public debt currently totals more than $77 billion. Spokespeople for the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine announced that the limit of the state-guaranteed debt was going to grow 2.3 times by the end of 2018.

To crown it all, in addition to numerous debts to international organizations, Kiev will most likely have to pay the debt to Russia in 2018 too. In late 2013, former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych borrowed $3 billion from Russia. Russia purchased Ukrainian Eurobonds using the National Welfare Fund for the purpose. However, the new Ukrainian administration refused to pay the debt to Russia and offered to restructure the loan.

Russia turned to the High Court of London and won the lawsuit against Ukraine. The court obliged Ukraine, in addition to the principal amount of the debt, to make additional payments and penalties to Russia in the amount of $75 million.

It is worthy of note that Ukraine's newly discovered gold deposit is not large at all from the point of view of international standards. It is highly unlikely Ukraine is going to build a gold-mining factory there to develop the deposit, because the country has no money for it. Preparations may take up to two years, wheres the actual development - up to 15 years.

Russia disposes of US government bonds to buy more gold

 Author`s name Dmitry Sudakov

Russia disposes of US government bonds to buy more gold

Russia has left the list of 33 largest holders of US government bonds, after the country disposed of at least a third of remaining bonds, a message from the US Treasury said.

The last position on the list of 33 largest holders of US government bonds is taken by Chile - $30 billion (as of May). Representatives of the US Treasury clarified that Russia's investment in the US government debt fell to an eleven-year low of $14.9 billion, having decreased three times only from April till May.

Russia started investing in US government bonds in 2007. In April of 2018, Russia sold US Treasury securities worth $47.5 billion, keeping $48.7 billion in government bonds. Russia then moved from the 16th position of the rating of holders of US government bonds to the 22nd place.

Elvira Nabiullina, the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, said commenting on Russia's decision to do away with US securities, that Russia's share of gold had had a tenfold increase in over ten years. "We are diversifying the entire structure of currencies ... We are pursuing a policy so that they are safely stored and diversified, and we assess all the risks: financial, economic and geopolitical ones," she said.

Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov said that Russia's move to dispose of a half of US securities was a step to reduce the country's financial dependence on the United States.

"Russia is reducing financial dependence on the US: in April, we cut investment in US government securities by 47.5 billion, which is almost 50 percent. This is a consistent decision," the Russian senator tweeted.

Natalia Orlova, chief economist at Alfa Bank, said that the Bank of Russia could reduce investment in US treasury securities, because the further dynamics of the US dollar in the conditions of trade wars was causing concerns.

Meanwhile, Russia continues to rid of US debt securities and replenish gold reserves. In May, the Russian Central Bank purchased 600,000 ounces of gold. Russia is not the only country to conduct such operations: India, Turkey, Mexico, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and China started purchasing gold more actively, Pravda.Ru reported earlier.

"Russia has been buying up gold on the basis of two factors. First off, the Russian Central Bank protects itself against the possible seizure of Russia's gold and foreign currency reserves abroad. Sanctions become tougher, and everything may eventually develop on the basis of the Iranian scenario, when Teheran's reserves invested in treasury bonds were arrested. When you buy gold, you keep it on Neglinnaya Street, and you do not have any headache about it. Secondly, Russia buys gold as a measure to support the gold mining industry," Alexei Vyazovsky, the vice-president of the Gold Mint told Pravda.Ru.

Three conditions to force the US dollar system to collapse

Three conditions to force the US dollar system to collapse

Russia has recently disposed of US Treasury bonds, but the move was like a gnat bite for the US financial system. To force this system to collapse, one needs to meet three requirements. Does one need to force the US dollar to collapse, though?

In 2015, Donald Trump told Fox News that the United States could become another Spain or Greece that were standing on the verge of financial collapse. According to him, the US has been borrowing from China and other countries and has thus amassed the public debt of 13 trillion dollars.

If America's debt is so large, why hasn't it collapsed yet? The answer is simple: there are too many of those who want to invest in the US economy. During Trump's presidency, USA's public debt has increased to 21 trillion dollars - all because the Americans accurately pay off their bonds worth about ten trillion dollars a year. The US dollar is a commodity, a world reserve currency, and if banks run out of dollars, the entire world economy will collapse. The more dollars creditors have in their reserves, the more stability one gets.

Can the USA come across difficulties in attracting new loans to pay off old ones? The world community is convinced in the stability of the US dollar based on the Bretton Woods agreement. Plus, the US and Saudi Arabia had agreed to trade oil in US dollars, and all countries had subsequently joined their agreement. All exchanges buy and sell oil and other raw materials only for dollars. All banks maintain more than 60 percent of their liquidity in dollars. The euro accounts for only 30 percent, whereas the yuan and other currencies account for only ten percent.

It is very hard to shatter the world's faith in the US dollar. The above-mentioned agreements and treaties can be revised only as a result of a war. Is there a peaceful way? Technically, the dollar may decline in value considerably, prompting market members to sell their dollar assets. These market members are the countries that hold US bonds and futures, as well as ordinary investors, such as, for example, citizens having dollar bank accounts. For this situation to happen, at least several conditions are required.

First, the dollar should be weak. Trump as President has broken the 70-year tradition to support the strong dollar. The weak dollar gives the government an opportunity to service the debt more easily. In addition, Trump sees the strong dollar as a hindrance to his trade war with the world. The Wall Street Journal said that the dollar exchange rate remains ten percent overvalued. To liquidate the USA's trade deficit of 500 billion dollars, the rate of the US currency will have to decrease considerably.

There is a reverse side to it too. The debt-to-GDP ratio currently stands at over one hundred percent, and calculations show that it will grow. This factor will undermine confidence in the dollar.

Secondly, one needs to have a viable monetary alternative for buyers and investors. If we get rid of the dollar, what are we going to buy instead? How are we going to trade? One may suggest the yuan and the euro, but the yuan is a regulated currency, and the euro is a regional one. It does not look like China wants to switch from commodities to capital trade to make the yuan a convertible and strong currency.

Thirdly, someone needs to push the dollar to make it collapse. Debt holder nations could, as it seems, massively dispose of US bonds. It's only about five trillion dollars: if China and Japan started disposing their treasury stock on the secondary market, this would cause great panic. Yet, the yuan fluctuates within a corridor. China artificially lowers its rate to quietly enter the US market. In addition, US bonds bring China a stable income in dollars, which the country needs to meet importers' demand.

Japan is now trying to exit the 15-year deflation cycle after the 2011 earthquake and Fukushima  nuclear disaster. If the dollar becomes weak, then the goods valued in yuan and yen will cost relatively more in the United States. They will become less competitive.

The countries that lend to the US may start selling US bonds either for political reasons or if they see their stocks dropping in price too quickly and they have another export market to replace the American one.

Thus, the collapse of the dollar, and therefore of the American system of living in debt is unlikely to happen. If it happens, the world will experience a global economic shock. Gold, the euro, energy carriers and other goods will become more expensive. The debt service will grow, US import prices will rise sharply, hyperinflation will follow, and exports will not yield any revenue. Inflation, high interest rates and volatility will suppress the growth of the real sector. The United States, perhaps, will launch military redivision of the world, since every war brings profit and economic recovery.

SDI Group owner Ilgar Hajiyev runs away from debts and prison

Ilgar Hajiyev, a developer of Accord Smart residential complex, accused of numerous crimes, including real estate scam, is facing another criminal case in Russia. Defrauded homebuyers are collecting signatures for a petition in their defense. These people, who paid their money for apartments in the Moscow region, Odintsovo сity district, but never received keys to their new homes, demand Hajiyev should be delivered to Russia to stand trial for fraud. Only 4 apartment buildings out of 12 that should have been commissioned in 2020 are built - with many violations.

"Numerous violations were committed during the construction: façades are falling off, walls and decoration of public areas are crumbling, cardboard doors are already broken," the petition reads.

The billion worth scam

Hajiyev fled overseas with investors' money in January 2019. It was not only clients, but also business partners, whom Hajiyev scammed, including creditors of SDI Group. Apart from Accord Smart housing complex, subsidiaries of SDI Group were also developers of the Pirogovskaya Riviera residential complex in Mytishchi, the Moscow Region. The complex is being finished by another developer.

Hajiyev started building the Pirogovskaya Riviera complex together with businessman Isai Zakharyaev, who later left the project, but never received money for his share. The head of SDI Group owes more than one billion rubles to the former partner. Another one billion Hajiyev siphoned off from the project developer Comfort Invest.

According to Zakharyaev, an independent audit revealed that the funds had been withdrawn during the period from the end of 2017 until January 2019. The results of audit were later transferred to law enforcement and public security agencies.

It was also revealed that Ilgar Hajiyev registered 360 apartments of the Pirogovskaya Riviera residential complex on his name, as well as to his affiliates:

  • 70 apartments were registered on Ekaterina Khavaeva name, a former official of the Moscow City Government, who was reportedly Hajiyev's mistress;
  • another 50 apartments on Zia Gaziev name, the owner of Alcon Development GmbH.

Gaziev's company, which is registered in Germany, is presented by Hajiyev as foreign partner to SDI Group. In fact, this company is affiliated with him and founded by his fellow countryman - a citizen of Azerbaijan.

The Investigative Department of regional office (Western District of Moscow) of Ministry of Interior opened a case of criminal misappropriation of apartments in December 2019 and is taking legal actions under articles "Fraud" and "Preparation for a crime and attempted crime" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The company Comfort Invest is reported as affected party. The case aimed to deliver the property back to cheated investors is reviewed currently at the Presnensky District Court of Moscow. Other fraudulent schemes that were invented by Hajiyev to withdraw money from the Pirogovskaya Riviera project are also subjects of multiple court trials.

Criminal group leader

In their petition, defrauded homebuyers of Accord Smart residential complex also pay attention to Ilgar Hajiyev's monkey business. In particular, interior finishing and decoration cost of the apartments are imposed by force in cost-sharing (co-investments) agreements. Total debts of the owner of the SDI Group amount to more than three billion rubles, the petition says.

LLC Accord Spetsstroy was added to national black list of suppliers, following the prosecutor's investigation, and it already owes 277 million rubles. This company constructed a building for sports dance school on the territory of VDNH and didn't pay to its suppliers. Last spring, the Investigative Department of regional office (Western District of Moscow) of Ministry of Interior opened a criminal case regarding asset misappropriation with estimated evaluation of 350 million rubles. In addition, the head of Accord Spetsstroy was prosecuted for non-payment of salaries: the case was initiated in late October 2019 by the Dorogomilovsky Inter-district investigative department of the regional office (Western district of Moscow) of Investigative Committee of Russia. Earlier, another case was opened for same reasons against the CEO of another Hajiyev's company - Plus Project. Five prosecution investigations are currently carried out in relation to another company of the businessman - LLC SDI (currently LLC Specialized Developer SDI). The claims amount to more than 1.17 billion rubles.

Another accusation made Ilgar Hajiyev non grata person in his homeland - at least one criminal case is waiting him in Azerbaijan.

The Main Directorate for Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan suspects Hajiyev of committing a crime under Art. 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code of the republic. Investigators revealed that the owner of SDI Group, have committed fraudulent acts and misappropriated $10 million from 2016 to 2017 - money which he had borrowed from one of his business partners.

Hajiyev allegedly used those funds for the construction of the Pirogovskaya Riviera and Accord Smart residential complexes, but in fact he simply transferred the money to his foreign accounts, possibly in Switzerland, where he had moved his family a long time in advance.

If the businessman comes to Russia, he will be arrested. Last spring, the inquiry department of Ministry of Interior in Dorogomilovo district opened a criminal case related to intentional infliction of bodily harm: Zamir Indreyev, partner and subcontractor of SDI Group - was brutally beaten in the basement of Accord Spetsstroy office, a company owned by Hajiyev. Hajiyev was put on the federal wanted list.

A trusted developer

Back in 2017, the potential buyers of apartments at Accord Smart residential complex didn't think the developer was trustworthy.

"Different suppliers are suing LLC SDI. All cases are about delays in payments for goods or services," they posted on various discussion boards.

Today investors are angry: "This is nothing but scam!", "They are crooks!", "I recommend avoiding any projects related to brands SDI and Accord."

Ilgar Hajiyev's fraud schemes have finally attracted the attention of law enforcement and supervisory authorities. If not, he would most likely continue robbing people, getting more loans, withdrawing assets abroad, and leaving his debts to his companies.

Today, the crisis with investors of his real estate projects may escalate into a social explosion. By not fulfilling their obligations, his companies have cheated investors of the apartments - simple citizens, but also the state: infrastructure facilities - kindergartens, schools, roads - are not built. The courts continue dealing with an avalanche of lawsuits from banks, investors and suppliers against the companies of the owner of SDI Group, as well as against him in person. Many court decisions have been made, but the businessman, obviously, does not care about the problems of a foreign state and of the people, whom he had literally robbed.

He is "developing" a new project: Hajiyev, who is accused of numerous criminal offenses, a fraudster, a businessman with gangster habits, has now turned into a victim and a fighter against hostile takeovers. However, the real goal of this "performance" is to avoid the Interpol list and have an opportunity to continue robbing gullible citizens.

Pakistan to purchase millions of doses of Sputnik V from Russia

Islamabad plans to purchase at least ten million doses of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine from Moscow, Pakistan Ambassador to Russia Shavkat Ali Khan said, TASS reports.

The diplomat noted that the Pakistani Embassy was one of the first diplomatic departments, whose employees were vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Russian vaccine. This saved them from many problems amid the pandemic, the ambassador added, stressing that Pakistan achieved success in the fight against coronavirus.

The ambassador noted that Islamabad set out its interest in the production of Sputnik V vaccine in Pakistan. The parties discussing technical details. Russia can not produce the vaccine in sufficient volumes, as the demand for it is too high, he said.

“Therefore, part of it should be produced in countries with large populations. We plan to move in this direction, this is the next stage,” Ali Khan concluded.

On September 3, Сhairman of AFK Sistema Board of Directors, Vladimir Yevtushenkov, said that negotiations on the production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus were being conducted with different countries. In particular, he named Bahrain and Jordan. Today, the Russian vaccine is used in 70 countries of the world.

CNN incidentally exposes CIA's lies about MH17 disaster

 Author`s name Lyuba Lulko

CNN incidentally exposes CIA's lies about MH17 disaster

US journalists gave a reason to accuse the CIA of architecting major provocative operations against Russia with the help of Ukraine. The purpose was to find more "evidence" to prove that Russia was guilty of the MH17 disaster.

CNN 'exposed' CIA over new 'evidence' against Russia in MH17 case

It goes about the interview with "former high-ranking Ukrainian intelligence officers", in which one of them claimed that the CIA partially financed the operation that Ukraine conducted to lure 33 Russian citizens detained in Belarus, to Ukraine. "Technical assistance and advice" to Ukraine from the CIA was also part of the case.

Military expert Yury Knutov, a specialist in air defense systems, told Pravda.Ru that the CIA supervises Ukraine's special services for a long time already. CIA officers, Knutov said, may take a whole floor of the building of the Security Service of Ukraine. Even if no one had written anything on the subject, it would have been clear that it was the Americans that were masterminds of the whole operation, the expert told Pravda. Ru.

According to him, covert operations got exposed at a time when the CIA and the Joe Biden administration could not figure out whom to blame for the shameful NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Noteworthy, CNN noted that the interview was recorded on the outskirts of Kiev. It appears that the information surfaced at the initiative of Ukraine, but damage to the reputation could be much more serious than that the USA had to deal with in Afghanistan.

The goal is to find more evidence against Russia in MH17 case

The key point in the interview is the episode, when a former Ukrainian intelligence officer claimed:

"There were two (among 33 Russians — ed.) who were present when the missile that downed MH17 was launched. Four others were members of a group responsible for shooting down our military aircraft and killing at least 70 of our best men," the interview reads.

In addition, CNN states:

"One video, shared with CNN by the former military intelligence sources, captures a group of rebel fighters in eastern Ukraine holding up the wreckage of a military aircraft that the sources said had just been shot down, a crime designated as terrorism in Ukraine."

It appears that those "former military intelligence sources" had no time to share such videos with anyone else before.

In a nutshell, the entire story in the form of the interview was concocted in an attempt to establish Russia's connection with the MH17 disaster yet again. The trial in the Netherlands is coming to an end, but there is no evidence found. This is indirectly shown by two things:

  • It was reported that one of the witnesses allegedly died. It will probably be revealed later that it was a key witness.
  • A court appeal to residents of Kursk with a request to share information that could help the investigation.

Exposing the falsification of MH17 case will relieve Russia of sanctions and bury USA's reputation

The international Joint Investigation Team investigating the crash of the Malaysian Boeing (which includes Ukraine) announced that the Buk anti-aircraft missile system that struck the passenger airliner had been allegedly delivered from Russia. Afterwards, the air defense missile system was returned back to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade in Kursk.

In the summer of 2019, Dutch prosecutors, proceeding from this information, brought charges against three Russian citizens:

  • Igor Girkin (Strelkov),
  • Oleg Pulatov,
  • Sergey Dubinsky,
  • and, perhaps the former citizen of Ukraine now, Leonid Kharchenko.

Pulatov was the only one who agreed to participate in the trial in absentia. His defense announced that prosecutors were trying "at any cost" to prove that Flight MH17 was shot down with a Buk missile, while ignoring evidence and facts pointing in a different direction. For example, the crash site had not been examined for four months, therefore, "the evidence may have been either lost or compromised," Pulatov's lawyer Boudewijn Van Eijck said.

According to the lawyer, the Security Service of Ukraine provided audio recordings of only the militia of the People's Republic of Donetsk, but provided no recordings of conversations of the Ukrainian military. In addition, virtually all the materials provided by Ukraine would be accepted by investigators as corroborating evidence, he noted, adding that the information provided by the Russian Federation would always be called misleading.

The lawyer also noted that many Ukrainian prosecutors who were investigating the MH17 case had been dismissed from their jobs.

"After the dismissal, one of the prosecutors said that he wanted to prove the guilt of the Russian side. I think that this comment clearly reflects the position of the Ukrainian side — to accuse the Russian Federation, rather than to establish the truth,” Boudewijn Van Eijck explained.

Yuri Knutov shares the opinion of the lawyer. In a comment for Pravda. Ru, he noted that he could not understand many things that the court considered and accepted as evidence."

"For example, a rocket always explodes above a target. Almaz-Antey conducted full-scale experiments: they blew up rockets from both sides above the cockpit and then showed on fragments distribution where the rocket came from. We proved that it was a Ukrainian rocket. What did Ukraine do? They took a warhead, put it on the ground, surrounded it with wooden shields, blew it up and said that it was the evidence," said Yuri Knutov.

The expert is sure that the authorities would not have dared to move the Buk system with combat missiles around Russian cities for safety reasons.

"This case is overwhelmed with falsifications from beginning to end,” Yuri Knutov clarified. According to him, the United States only needs "to provide its satellite images, where it can be seen that the rocket was launched from the Donetsk territory," but this was not done.

In March 2020, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova accused the Dutch authorities of putting pressure on the court. It is an open secret that it was after the MH17 disaster, when the West imposed most stringent sanctions on Russia. The blow to the image of the United States in the world would be overwhelming, should the charges prove to be fabricated. Europe will be the first to lift the sanctions.

The court is to deliver the verdict before December 15, 2022.

The Boeing 777 of Malaysia Airlines from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region. All 298 people on board were killed.

Ukraine has three years left to exist

 Author`s name Alexander Shtorm

Ukraine has three years left to exist

Internal conflicts will cause Ukraine to collapse in just a few years, experts say.

Political scientist Andrei Yermolaev believes that on one is going to share geopolitical responsibility with Ukraine.

"If the previous Poroshenko regime and the regime of Volodimir Zelensky expect that their Euro-Atlantic partners will stand next to them should everything is doomed to collapse, they are very mistaken. The resource development of Ukraine will end within three to five years, when there will be nothing more to develop," he said.

Speaking on Ukrainian TV channel NASH, Yermolaev also said that internal conflicts were tearing Ukraine apart from within, and the country was on the verge of collapse.

Many experts predict a grave crisis for Ukraine after 2024, when the country's gas transit contract with Russia's Gazprom expires. According to Ukraine's former Minister of Economy Viktor Suslov, winter in Ukraine is not going to be easy due to the lack of gas for heating after the decrease in transit supplies to Europe.

Storage facilities in western Ukraine have 18.7 billion cubic meters of gas reserves, but all of them have to be supplied to Europe. However, natural gas issues are not the only difficulties that Ukraine is now facing.

Defaults may become commonplace in Ukraine due to demographics. Pavel Vernivsky, adviser to the head of the Federation of employers of the country on economic issues, believes that such problems may take Ukraine to the point of a national disaster.

"This problem is so serious that it is going to be the prime cause for all other problems. The Pension Fund will collapse in the first place, and the debt burden on each individual taxpayer will increase, which will increase the risk of default," explained Vernivsky.

According to him, the Ukrainian authorities need to look into problems of immigration. The state of affairs in the country remains critical, and Ukraine can not afford to lose people, even if they speak the "wrong language." At the same time, a number of politicians share a different opinion on this issue — they do not understand where Ukraine is going," Vernivsky said.

Ukrainian politicians and business circles are divided into two camps:

  • those who still support Ukraine's cooperation with the IMF with all ensuing consequences;
  • those who support declaring a default with all ensuing consequences.

At one point of Ukraine's history, ex-finance minister Umansky worked for less than a month for one simple reason — he belonged to the "party of default."Ukraine must give away everything it has before it dies.

Several years ago, Ukrainian MP Vadim Rabinovich said that the Ukrainian authorities had taken the country to impoverishment with their reforms. Speaking on 112 Ukraine TV channel, Rabinovich cracked down on the government and said that salaries in Ukraine were the lowest among all other European states because as much as 40 percent of the Ukrainian economy was in a shadow. People pretend that they live well, the MP said.

The conclusion that Rabinovich then voiced has not lost its relevance nowadays:

All European countries pretend that they try to help Ukraine financially. Instead, they do their best to plunder the national wealth of the country.

France may wave a nice French kiss to Emmanuel Macron

France may wave a nice French kiss to Emmanuel Macron

No sooner had Germany recovered from its elections, when France's turn to intrigue has come. shaken by the results of the elections, when it was France's turn to intrigue. There is not so much time left before the presidential election in France. Conservatives have yet to choose a candidate from a pool of contenders who seek to outplay the ultra-right and bid a beautiful French goodbye to Emmanuel Macron.

Republicans are vying for the right to oppose centrist-oriented Emmanuel Macron, who also intends to run to be reelected. Republicans have decided how to choose their candidate: they are not going to do it through primaries, where rightist electors can vote. They now want to do it in Congress, where it is only party members who have the right to vote.

The candidate will have to breathe in new life into the party that considers itself the guardian angel of Charles de Gaulle's values, but still suffers from the shattered reputation of former Prime Minister François Fillon, who left amid a scandal over his wife's fictitious employment and was later convicted.

France's last right-wing president, Nicolas Sarkozy, who still enjoys great popularity among Republican members, was also tried for corruption. The party will also want to avoid the fate of its right-wing counterparts in Germany from the CDU, which received a negligible vote in the recent German elections.

"The right have an electorate, they control the majority of big cities, departments and regions of France, but the Republican party is incredibly weak now because of the Fillon story," political scientist Pascal Perrino told AFP. "The party's problem is not about the lack of the leader. None of them has proved to be worthy — that's the problem," he added.

De Gaulle's 'devotee'?

Most analysts believe that the two-round electoral process will lead to another duel, as it happened in 2017, between Emmanuel Macron and the far-right leader Marine Le Pen. Yet, there are many uncertainties that will give the right-wing candidate an opportunity to survive the first round.

Congress will choose between candidates such as Michel Barnier, a former French foreign minister and EU commissioner, who was admired for his ability to negotiate Brexit, but surprised his supporters with a suggestion to impose a moratorium on immigration. Another leader and the only woman among the right-wing candidates is Valerie Pécresse, the head of the regional Ile-de-France Council. This woman is a talented executive, but she is little known internationally.

The big question for the right is whether former heavyweight minister Xavier Bertrand, who is polled to be the most promising conservative candidate with 14-15 percent of the vote, will make it to the home stretch.

Meanwhile, far-right French journalist Eric Zemmour has been gaining popularity, although he has not even confirmed his intention to run. A Paris Match cover photo of Zemmour, a married man, swimming in the Mediterranean Sea with a young woman, his assistant, only added media hype to his candidacy.

Zemmour is likely to create problems for Le Pen, potentially dividing the far-right votes and keeping her out of the runoff, possibly giving way to the Republican candidate.

Some Republicans even voiced the idea to invite Zemmour to join their ranks, but the sharp-tongued journalist who fiercely criticized Islam, has upped the stakes this week, having said that the party "betrayed General de Gaulle."

The Spanish Ministry of Health does not have SARS-CoV-2 cultures for testing and does not have a list of laboratories with samples of this virus. The government confirmed this to critical lawyers and organizations.

“The Spanish Ministry of Health does not have SARS-CoV-2 cultures for experiments and does not have a directory of laboratories that have isolation cultures for experiments,” the government stated in response to a public request from critical citizens, including the organizations Asociación Liberum and Biólogos por la Verdad [Biologists for the Truth] on July 22, 2021. This was received by the authorities on August 10 and was registered under the number 001-059144.

Among other things, the lawyers and scientists were interested in whether the virus had been isolated. According to the Transparency Act 19/2013 of 9 December, the Ministry of Health had one month from this point in time to formulate a corresponding statement.

Various critics of the government measures against Covid report on the curious response of the Spanish government, which transformed the country into a health dictatorship from March 14, 2020 onward. These include the lawyer Aitor Guisasola and the media portal El Diestro.

“All responsibility for diagnosis and treatment has been shifted to the health professionals, recognizing that ‘tests alone are often not enough to diagnose the disease’… But the tests are being used to make decisions about curfews, shop closures, quarantine, patient treatment, vaccinations and absolutely dictatorial measures are justified and people’s freedoms are revoked, while they ‘are usually not sufficient to determine the disease’.”

Finally, El Diestro addressed a message to all those who have been vaccinated:

“Take this document and go to your family doctor or your health center and ask for explanations. Because something has been injected into your body, but the person who administered it to you, does not even know what it is for or what is contained in it. Will this wake people up or will they go back to sleep?”
