Since some time we are getting used everywhere to be forced to read quite disgusting things written by "experts", however I must say that the level of disgust evoked in me by your article is particular, and much more so is the fact that the ECPR is publishing it.
In case someone suspected if there is some vicious circle and someone continues to say that vicious circles belong to imagination, here is the proof of its reality.
When you equate, explicitly and implicitly, no "green pass" protesters to "fascists", you are doing no better than this unelected prime minister as well as the president of this wannabe-republic and its interior minister, not to speak of the many hundreds of thousands of public officials, who are riding the pandemic wave in order to chip off from their shoulders 30 years of vane criticism of the Italian "casta" (not "pasta").
Fascism never disappeared from Italy after the second world war, as you should know, being an "expert" - you mention the infamous Scelba-law in your article. Scelba, like Tambroni, but also de Gasperi, were side-B fascist themselves, fascists with a different party book, they have given a new home to the many fascist homeless salvaged from the ruins of the italian totalitarian adventures by the laws of the communist Togliatti, transiting them again into the rump body of the leftovers of the stato albertino, which all survived in the " new republic".
This has always a suspended republic with a suspended DEMOCRATIC constitution, last but not least because of the interests of the Anglo-Saxon hegemony in it. Nothing changed, until today.
The neototalitarian forces in Italian politics and business never died, not even because of the 2007-2009 cris and their follow-ups. Their ideas and their supporters come from very far. It is no secret that president Trump had to talk off from Mr Conte the authoritarian-neototalitarian solution of the Italian problem. The times were not ripe then, the true owners of Italy were not ready yet.
I do not want to know for whom you write the criminal lies contained in this article, but I would really like to know why the ECPR is hosting this singular piece of disinformation, misunderstanding and partiality.
You are flashing a small group of rowdies, but there are many hundred thousands of "no green pass", "no FORCED vax" as well as "no refeudalization of the workforce" groups in Italy, which have nothing to do with YOUR KIND AND SORT of fascism: this has been intentionally evoked by the neototalitarian forces behind Mr Conte and Mr Draghi, and the master traitor of the republic, Sergio Mattarella, who, together with this fata morgana of a constitutional court, accepted to make of Italy the spearhead of the experiment of transforming it in the Musterland of the multinational usurocracy.

These are life videos, not the newspaper articles that you are used to have to read.
You will question the source, I know, but you cannot deny these, which once upon a time were called facts: these are live videos.
Especially, you cannot deny the fact that both the italian government, the EU and you are crying "fascism" while all of you are implementing a criminal plan of oppression, suppression and imposition of inenarrable suffering on the Italian people. It lacks any credibility as well any truth that regulation 2021/953 has been written in the COREPER with "errors". It was intentionally written how it was written and anyone in those rooms knew that the Italian people, instead of exiting the EU, would have been forced with military coercion into the EU thanks to it.
Your article does not only disinform, lie and distort the reality of the protests against the "green pass", the forced vaccinations and the ruthless and brutal attack against working class Italy, that you see on these video, but it forgets to mention that the official media of the country cancel these videos and documents, that the EU in this case, in the case of Italy, does not cry "rule of law" against this butchery, and that the German state of Hessen has already left to the "private initiative" the decision whether to allow non vaccinated people to buy food in supermarkets or not.
How do you call this? Bojoism? Stalinism? The rule of Satan?
As a self-appointed expert about the history of the country you are dealing with, you know that Italians have largely freed themselves by themselves from totalitarianism. If you do not know, you better inform yourself, as this time there will be no Togliatti anymore.
If in piazzale Loreto only a few full party members had to be hung up, this time, besides the many italian party and non-party genocidal psychopaths, you will be able to find without doubt some US and UK corporate managers as well as, maybe, some presidents of what will be left of the USA. The whole wolrd knows that we are assisting to the last song of the swan, not to a black swan event; if you don't, ask the queen.
The ECPR has the chance to distance itself from your criminal article.
If not, time will come and also wannabe European "political scientists" will have to pay their dues. These are no social science paper issues anymore.
