Summary
You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA.
Responsibilities
- You will integrate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) improvements in response to changes in program policies.
- You will advise personnel concerning options to resolve supply management issues.
- You will determine and provide employee training in the fields of shipping, packing, storage, disposal, and receiving of materials, HAZMAT, and safety programs.
- You will advise the Director on policy direction for specific operating requirements to provide guidance on supply operations.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Analyzing monthly reports, work methods and supply data management to oversee day-to-day operating procedures. 2.) Providing oversight and operating support for the command's Regional planning to enhance program management. 3.) Negotiate and recommend appropriate courses of actions to ensure quality, efficiency and effectiveness of HAZMAT programs.

Physical Demands:
The
work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the
work. However, there may be some walking and standing;bendingand is
usually accomplished while seated at a desk or table. Incumbent must
have the physical ability to operate in adverse weather. Walking,
bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling will occur in the course of a
normal workday. Items carried typically are no more than 40-50 pounds.
For reasons of safety, the incumbent must be able to distinguish colors
due to the nature of the materials handled. Incumbent may be subject to
occasional travel of up to 25%. This may require walking, bending and
climbing during visits to various Navy and commercial installations.
During the course of this travel, industrial facilities may be visited
or toured.
Work Environment:
Work is done primarily in an
office setting. The environment involves everyday risks or discomforts
that require normal safety precautions typical or such places as
offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences or commercial
vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment,
avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic
signals. The work are adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated;
however, work may be performed in a warehouse environment where there
may be exposure to dirt, dust, heat, cold, noise, drafts, poor lighting
and /or other adverse working conditions. The material supported by this
position is hazardous in nature. Occasionally incumbent may be exposed
to fumes, irritation and other conditions resulting from the nature of
the material supported visits to various warehouses, local DLA
Activities, FLCSI sites, or other activities. Other aspects of the
assignment require intermittent periods of standing, walking, stooping
and bending. The work involves everyday risks and discomforts and
requires normal safety precautions and Personal Protective Equipment as
necessary.
This position is designated as a Mission-Essential
position. This is defined as an employee who may be activated to
maintain continuity of Government Operations during emergencies
involving national security, a natural disaster, extended emergencies,
or other unique situations such as snow emergency days, severe weather
conditions, holidays, increased security periods, national emergency or
other dismissal or closure situations. Incumbent must be removed from

Pay

Priority
