Key Role:
Serve as a Fleet Experimentation (FLEX) planner supporting naval warfighting capability development under Navy warfare development elements. Support the project team from Naples, Italy, and assist the government Experiment Lead exploring innovative naval concepts and technologies. Lead teams in the design, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of fleet experiments as defined by NWDC’s Experimentation Planning Guide. This position will require the ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including extended periods.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience as a Commissioned Officer supporting a warfare qualification or community
Experience in naval operations, warfare or mission areas at the tactical level, including Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Air Warfare, Ballistic Missile Defense, Mine Warfare, or Information Warfare
Experience with preparing and presenting GO/FO level briefs, reports, and white papers
Experience in coordinating exercise or experiment requirements, events, and planning with stakeholders and partners
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including for extended periods.
Ability to pass medical screening to embark Navy ships, submarines, and aircraft
TS/SCI clearance
MA or MS degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with naval operations including Maritime Operations Center (MOC), carrier or expeditionary strike group staff, Navy tactical training group staff, or Warfighting Development Center
Experience in electromagnetic maneuver warfare, electronic warfare, cryptology, information warfare, intelligence and space, maritime domain awareness, maritime dynamic targeting, or current maritime C4I architectures
Experience in military experimentation, including planning, design, execution, data collection, and analysis
Experience with Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) change recommendations
Experience in drafting tactics, techniques, and procedures, and other doctrine-related documents and publications
Knowledge of Maritime Supporting Plans and Combatant Command Operations Plans
Possession of excellent writing and oral presentation skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
