    Summary

    You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Logistics Support (ILS) Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA.


    Responsibilities

    • You will manage logistical planning to provide overall support and coordination for ships undergoing maintenance.
    • You will provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and services for ships and units.
    • You will review and comment on contract changes affecting ILS to provide ILS evaluation summary submissions for the command.
    • You will repair ships to include integrated logistics elements such as shipboard validation or audit, development and verification of ship's configuration records for Integrated Logistics Support.

    • Shipboard work requires physical agility in climbing up and down ladders, maneuvering in tight spaces, lifting large documents, and carrying reference material to and from the work site.

    Qualifications

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyze problems to resolve issues involving supply chain management, material acquisition, supply requisition, and data procedures; 2) Resolve problems in existing supply chain processes and requirements to recommend feasible alternatives; 3) Analyze documents, technical manuals, specialized information, and evaluation of results to choose the best solution and solve shipboard configuration and Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) problems; and 4) Direct implementation of maintenance and integrated logistics support functions for repair and modernization of ships.
